Joshua is an author, security consultant and analyst. His writings include the books Withdrawing Under Fire: Lessons Learned from Islamist Insurgencies, Hezbollah and Hamas: A Comparative Study, and most recently The Hibernating Bears: A Story about Lock Downs for Children. He has also written a host of articles, including op-eds in the International Herald Tribune, Boston Globe, and Jerusalem Post. Joshua earned his PhD in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, and was a fellow at Harvard University’s Belfer Center and Columbia University’s Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies. He later worked in diplomacy, meeting with world leaders from across the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Asia, and traveling as far as Pyongyang, North Korea for third-party negotiations. Joshua is president of a security consulting firm, specializing in securing schools, houses of worship, community centers, and government institutions from a global as well as local standpoint.
